Junior Cert 2022 Timetable: the times and dates you need to know.
- The Junior Cert 2022 is going ahead for the first time in two years.
- They were cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic and didn’t take place last year either for the same reason.
- However, this year there will be written exams for junior cycle exams students and the exams will commence on Wednesday, June 8th.
- The official statement supplied by the State Examinations Commission asks candidates to note that there are significant changes to the scheduling of the Junior Cycle examinations this year.
- Morning exams start at 9.30am and afternoon exams begin at 1.30pm.
- Candidates are asked to arrive at the exam halls half an hour before the exam begins.
- The Junior Certificate will eventually be replaced with the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA). There is a already now a classroom-based component to the assessment which is based on work completed by the student during second and third year.
